Việc hợp tác với Big Boat Interactive để phát triển Battlezone 98 Redux còn đánh dấu một bước tiến quan trọng cho đội ngũ phát triển game đến từ nước Anh. Kể từ khi cho phát hành hai tựa game xuất sắc Sniper Elite V2 và Sniper Elite 3, Rebellion đã chuyển hóa từ studio game độc lập lớn nhất nước Anh sang hãng phát triển và phát hành game độc lập đa nền tảng với loạt game Zombie Army Trilogy cho các hệ máy PC, Xbox One và PS4.
Battlezone 98 Redux đánh dấu sự bắt đầu của một chương mới trong cuộc hành trình này khi trở thành tựa game đầu tiên mà Rebellion chỉ đảm nhiệm khâu phát hành. Trong khi đó đội ngũ của hãng vẫn sẽ tiếp tục thực hiện dự án đưa Battlezone lên hệ máy PlayStation VR và phát triển nhiều tựa game AAA khác.
