ôGears of Warö is the first game developed by Epic Games for Microsoft Game
Studios. ôGears of Warö thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing story of
humankindÆs epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish
race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet.
* Engaging and disturbing cinematic story. Massively scoped worlds, memorable
characters and an epic story line play out like an intense and unsettling

story bring the brutal, emotionally charged experience to life. Gamers
control Marcus Fenix and his fire team as they pit advanced human

Gears of War là tựa game bắn súng góc nhìn người thứ ba (TPS) do Epic Games phát triển và được Microsoft Studios phát hành cho hai hệ máy là Xbox 360 (năm 2006) và PC (năm 2007).
Tựa game lấy bối cảnh trên hành tinh giàu tài nguyên Sera trong tương lai. Lúc này, loài người đã phát hiện cách khai thác tài nguyên năng lượng trên hành tinh này và tiến hành định cư. Nhưng rồi một ngày, một chủng loài mang tên Locust trỗi dậy từ lòng đất và bắt đầu cuộc chiến tranh với con người. Đó là Emergence Day, ngày mà loài người tan rã rồi tập hợp, ngày định mệnh dẫn đến cuộc chiến không hồi kết với Locust…
Mười bốn năm sau Emergence Day, Marcus Fenix, một chiến sĩ tuyệt vời bị cầm tù trong một nhà ngục đổ nát, bất ngờ được người bạn thân Dominic “Dom” Santiago đến đưa ra cho một nhiệm vụ đặc biệt có thể kết thúc chiến tranh mãi mãi. Và từ đây, bạn sẽ đóng vai Marcus tìm hiểu thêm cốt truyện của game.
