Assault Suit Leynos đưa bạn vào bối cảnh trong tương lai, khi mà Trái Đất đã bị thiệt hại nặng nề sau cuộc chiến tranh thế giới thứ tư, các quốc gia trên thế giới đã kí cam kết ngừng bắn để tập trung tái lập lại hành tinh này.
Tuy nhiên, không lâu sau đó thì loài người phải đối phó với một loại kẻ thù mới, một loài sinh vật ngoài không gian kì bí đang manh nha xóa sổ hành tinh này, không ai có thể ngăn cản được chúng ngoài một thứ duy nhất, những cỗ máy Assault Suit hầm hố. Ban sẽ tự tay điểu khiển những cỗ máy này, thổi bay kẻ thù bằng các khẩu súng máy nặng nề cho đến những tia laser mạnh mẽ.
