Với một tựa game sandbox, việc giảm thiểu chi tiết để tăng cường cho quy mô của môi trường là một điều không thể tránh khỏi, và chúng ta đã phần nào thấy được điều đó qua những trailer vừa qua của Sleeping Dogs khi đồ họa của game không thật sự sắc nét. Nhưng xem ra điều đó chỉ đúng với phiên bản trên console vì mới đây, Square Enix đã tung ra một đoạn trailer của Sleeping Dogs dành cho PC, trong đó chúng ta có thể thấy chất lượng hình ảnh được cải thiện hơn khá nhiều của game.

Theo nhà sản xuất, phiên bản dành cho PC sẽ có độ chi tiết cao hơn do không bị giới hạn về phần cứng như trên console, cụ thể là game sẽ hỗ trợ độ phân giải cao hơn, draw distance được tăng cường khiến cho các vật thể nhỏ có thể được trông thấy từ xa và hiệu ứng đổ bóng sử dụng DX11. Và tất nhiên cái giá phải trả để thưởng thức được hết những cái đẹp này là một cấu hình không hề dễ chịu chút nào được Square Enix công bố kèm theo những quảng cáo hấp dẫn trên.
