Cũng không quá lời khi dự đoán rằng tựa game Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning này sẽ trở thành một trong những "bom tấn" RPG xuất sắc trong năm 2012, ít nhất đó là điều mà nhiều game thủ tin tưởng qua những gì đã thể hiện trong phiên bản demo mà nhà sản xuất công bố.
Reckoning sẽ phá vỡ mọi giới hạn về những khái niệm cũ mòn trước đây. Thay vì việc chọn sẵn một lớp nhân vật ngay từ đầu và những con số khô khan sẽ quyết định bạn có thể hay không thể làm gì, giờ đây bạn hoàn toàn có thể tự lựa chọn trường phái riêng của mình. Những quyết định bạn đưa ra trong game, những điểm cộng ability và skill, những phong cách chơi khác nhau sẽ phản chiếu khác nhau trực tiếp qua nhân vật trong thế giới ảo.
Với hơn 60 loại ability trải đều trên hai trường vật lý và pháp thuật, cộng thêm vô số những skill từ các khả năng như trò chuyện, thuyết phục, chế đồ, chế thuốc cho đến những mánh khóe thú vị như bẻ khóa, móc túi... Mỗi nhân vật có vẻ như có riêng cho mình một bản mã ADN, không ai trùng với ai và cũng khó mà bắt gặp 2 người có phong cách hoàn toàn giống nhau.
