Ấn tượng đặc sắc mà bản game Stronghold đầu tiên, do Firefly Studios thực hiện và phát hành năm 2001, để lại trong lòng game thủ là lối chơi kết hợp hài hòa giữa thể loại xây dựng thành phố và chiến thuật thời gian thực truyền thống.
